Project/Program Management

Welcome to the site!

I created this site to add something less dry to the standard resume which can be found in the menu bar above, and to check out some of the latest tools and methods.  With over 20 years in the industry, I still run across situations outside of the traditional PMBOK scenarios that challenge and (sometimes)amuse.

A PM is often the bearer of bad news - get over it, that's part of the role.  I've concluded that it is actually normal to have a some "wake-up" scenarios early in a project, but by managing expectations early (and keeping constant watch for roadblocks start to finish), most projects end well (on time, under budget, etc.).

Tools Used

This site is an experiment/self-training/work-in-progress, (as well as a shameless plug for my resume) created using Microsoft Expression Web and Visual Studio. Subversion is used for source code control, and TortoiseSVN is used to access the Subversion repository (which lives on a Windows Server 2008 R2 RAID-10 server).
